Isla Vista Small Artists Cooperative

Welcome to the co-op! We are here to help members of the Thrift, Craft, Small Business, and Residential Community have a sense of belonging in Isla Vista.

Mission Statement

Isla Vista Small Artists Cooperative (IV Small Artists Co-op) is a non-profit and anti-monopolist organization dedicated to helping members of the Thrift, Craft, Small Business, and Residential Community have a sense of belonging in Isla Vista. With an emphasis on cultural awareness, diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), and social justice, our goal is to help small artists/vendors meet their basic needs and grow their venture however they want on their own terms. We also understand to residents of Isla Vista that the town is an evolving space that has changed its demographics over the years. With this in mind, the spaces we create in Isla Vista are also provided for Isla Vista residents who wish to sell their belongings and have a sense of belonging too. The co-op space is a shared space for everyone - not for oneself, hence the terms anti-monopolist, decolonial, and inclusive. The point isn’t to make profit. We’re here to provide an accessible sense of belonging in Isla Vista to our community.
